COVID-19 Safety Plan

Welcome Back to School! We the People High School opened Monday, August 23, 2021 with full in-person instruction for grades 9 and 10. We are still in the midst of a global pandemic with the new COVID-19 variants running rampant through our communities. We also know that in-person instruction is what is best for students. Our COVID-19 Containment, Response and Control Plan outlines the processes and protocols that We the People High School will use to manage COVID-19 containment at our school site and ensure the health and safety of all students. These protocols align with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s guidelines for TK – 12 schools.

We the People High School was able to open for full-time in-person instruction from March 1 – June 16, 2021. We did this by following the protocols below and ensuring ALL staff and students wore masks all day at all times. Over these 3.5 months, we had no COVID outbreaks, and students in grade 9 last year had 71 days of instruction vs. 17 for surrounding district high schools.
